Reneé: Sidekick forever?
Weired World: Last month we proudly announced that Reneé O'Connor is now treated as more than a sidekick and her name appears with "starring" instead of "also starring" in the opening sequence. Well.. They changed it again. The reasons may have been "different salaries" but that is pure speculation.

Xena ends after season 6
All good things must come to an end... Creation Entertainment today confirmed that season six will be the last Xena season. 22 more episodes will be produced before we have to say GoodBye to our Warrior Princess and her loyal sidekick.

New Opening Sequence
Xena is getting a new opening sequence for it's 6th season.
Here are the most important changes:
- new scenes from all seasons up to the 6th
- "starring" instead of "also starring" Reneé O'Connor
- Gabrielle only with short hairs

Lord of the Rings
Marton Csokas (Borias, Khraftstar) is taking the role of Celeborn, husband of Galadriel in the movie trilogy "Lord of the Rings" directed by Peter Jackson. The costumes are designed by Ngila Dickson, who did the same for xena for four seasons

Lucy in the Movies?
"Dealing with Donna" is the name of the movie in that Lucy eventually stars in since the debut as xena: warrior princess. This Australian production is supposed to be a comedy about two women. The shooting starts in fall. This doesn't collide with the shooting of xena.

New Sam Raimi Project
Sam Raimi, executive producer of "Xena: Warrior Princess" is shooting a new movie, a thriller titled "The Gift". The movie plays in a small town in Arkansas and tells the story of a woman with supernatural perception (Cate Blanchett) that was asked to help finding a missing young woman.

Back to the States
Reneé O'Connor will return to the states after finally finishing the shootings to "Xena: Warrior Princess" and she will take her long term boy friend Steve Muir with her. The reason for this are better chances for Reneé as actress in the states than in New Zealand.
